There are some types of goals that are different than others. For example, most people can't just say one day: "I want to be an olympic pole vaulter," and actually make it happen. It requires a lifetime of practice with lots of talent. On the other hand there are some goals like saying you want to learn to ride a bike by the end of the month that are very much attainable. One slightly different way to think about it is to think about it as in you set lofty goals and try to get as close to them as possible. It's almost like that quote by some guy that says you can shoot for the moon and still get to the stars.
The way that most of my Sundays go are: wake up late, start doing homework, go practice baseball, do more homework, eat dinner, do more homework. There is one constant theme: homework. You might wonder why I don't do homework on other days too, and I sometimes do homework on Saturdays. There is just something about Sundays now where I expect Sunday homework. I wish it was different.

Do you set your goals according to what you to want to achieve or according to what you think you are capable of achieving?
I would say that when I set goals I consider both what I want to achieve and what I believe I am capable of achieving. It is almost like I am the ego, the goals I want to achieve are the id, and the goals that I am capable of achieving are the superego. The id is the most confident in this situation, and the superego is brutally honest. In my opinion, if you just consider goals based on what you believe you are capable of, then you are never really challenging yourself to your entire capability. I try to set my goals based on what I believe I am capable of, and then a little bit more. There are some types of goals that are different than others. I believe that this post was a hit because of the engagement I felt to the writing. I felt like I gave an interesting personal perspective while using outside comparisons. It was a casual writing as a blog post, but I really remembered it later on.
2. Paper: Personal Narrative
I felt that my personal narrative was a major hit. It was my first big high school paper, and I did very well. I felt that I was very interested in my topic and did a good job of creating point of view.
3. Paper: Research Paper
The research paper was much more enjoyable than any other research paper I have ever done. My topic had to do with Cold War affairs and I got to learn some very interesting things.

Sundays
Sundays are usually considered to be a religious, leisurely day. I remember as a young kid feeling relaxed on Sunday. That has changed with age. Sundays have become homework days, as it is right now. I know Sundays will change in the future. I watch my dad on Sundays. He wakes up early, reads the paper, and kind of has a laid back day. I am excited for when they will be like that again.

I wish it was different.
This post was not the worst thing I have ever done, but it was highly mediocre. I looked back at my blog and realized that I was bored doing my blogs on Sunday and I just chose the first thing I though of, Sundays. I kind of did the minimal work on this one.
2. Paper: Literary Analysis
My literary analysis wasn't terribly written, and I in fact did fine on it. I just didn't feel like what I was writing was my best work. I felt like I was writing to try to get it over with, something I rarely do. I was struggling to meet the page count, which made me try to stretch it out which wasn't good.

Free Post about Thanksgiving memories
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I love the weather at that time of year. It also means one important thing for me, even though we don't do it any more. It means my cousins are coming in town. Every year they used to come in town and we would have the best time. I look back on those memories and could cry right now. They are some of the best memories I have. Sometimes I wish things could stay just like they were.
Now one of those cousins has passed away and we only have one. They don't come down for Thanksgiving anymore because it is very hard. They usually make it anther time, but it's not the same. There are of course still other great thanksgiving traditions I have like hunting over the break and watching LSU play, but it's all changed.

The reason that I would consider this blog post one of my misses is because it had the potential to be a great post. I have much more to say about this topic. If I would have put in the effort, it could have been a terrific post.
