Areas I Need to Still Work on

An area of writing that I believe I still need to work on is organization. I can get my ideas on paper very quickly, but sometimes I end up questioning the sequence of the ideas. Sometimes that can result in me having to restart my paper. I believe if I mapped out the order of my thoughts better at the start, I might be able to improve in this area. This area is important because the organization can affect the main idea that the reader takes from the writing.

My conventions are another area that could use some refining. I still struggle somewhat with comma splices. I also could mix up my use of punctuation more, utilizing the semicolon. Overall, I am pretty proficient with spelling and capitalization. Sometimes my sentence structure isn't at the level that it could be. I would like to be able to mix up sentence types and lengths in a way that causes the reader to want to keep reading.
