Goals for Next Year

A writing goal I have for next year is to perfect the literary analysis. My literary analysis was the paper I struggled with most this year. Despite a decent result, I never quite felt in-tune with it. It was a piece of writing that I was not very connected to and never felt like it could reach the same caliber as my other pieces of writing. It is easy for me to use the scapegoat that I did not like the book for this, but I know there were other things I could have done.

I plan to achieve this goal by going into more detail when I select my quotes for my arguments. I will do this by annotating better while I read the book as well as looking in more detail for good quotations. I will also try to force myself to take the time to find an argument that I can write plenty about. If I succeed in doing these listed items, my writing will be improved, and the process will be more enjoyable.
