My Strengths as a Writer

I would say that my strengths as a writer mostly apply to the drafting process. A major strength is my fluency as a writer. I am able to take my pre-writing and turn it into a sufficient paper very quickly. I also have interesting ideas. I typically excel in creative writing. I think I am especially good at writing stories. I succeed in writing stories because I enjoy creating characters and creating a plot. I also succeed at creating an intriguing setting.

Another area of my writing that I believe is excellent is voice. I create a voice appropriate to the writing. I believe I do something that is crucial after that. What I am referencing to is sticking to the voice I choose. I believe sticking to a consistent voice is just as important as choosing an appropriate voice to write with. I would say that for writing such as personal narratives, your voice should be more personal and informal. Contrarily, on writings such as the research paper, your voice should be formal and academic. Whatever the situation, there is a voice that I try to choose and stick with.
